A native of Chicago, Scott Boberek grew up eating those iconic baby burgers - better known as "sliders" - from White Castle fast-food restaurants.
These square, minipatties, served on small white buns along with grilled onions and a pickle coin, are usually ordered in a "sack" of 10. One 3-inch burger can easily be consumed in one or two bites.
"As a kid, you loved the size of them," said Boberek, now the executive chef at Easy Street Brasserie in Park City. "They made you feel larger, almost adultish."
