Rep Power: 10 | The most hated foods in America. A while back, we asked our readers what foods hit their yuck button, and the response was overwhelming. Over 75,000 folks voted in our poll and others, well -- they shared some mighty colorful words 'bout the meals that make 'em squeal.
#20 BLUEBERRIES
"Blueberries taste a little like aluminum to me." -- Sharon
"Many people eat handfuls of blueberries without actually looking at them. I used to do that until one time I stared in the bowl I'd been eating from and half were shriveled or rotting. It made me wonder how many nasty ones I'd eaten in my life." -- VW
"I hate the smell of blueberries and it makes me nauseous. Anything that even remotely taste or smells like it." -- Stephanie MORE |

Rep Power: 10 | Lima beans, oysters and liver, I agree with. All the others, though, I LOVE...especially the blueberries. That hurt reading that being a Berry Lover!!!

Rep Power: 2 | figure that and I love blue berries. Well got to have maple syrup for the hot cakes, cilantro inany Mexican dish, I hate to see what is next, go figure onions, I sure did not take this survey, whats wrong with carrots, oh come on now I will not accept this, something is wrong with these people. There was not a thing on that list that I hated in fact most of them I really enjoy.

Rep Power: 10 | I am not a big cilantro fan. I can take it in small doses. But it's not one of my favorites. I do like carrots raw better than cooked but if they are cooked properly I can eat them. |

Rep Power: 0 | I have to agree with the liver, oysters, and Jello. I have never liked Jello. I guess it has to do with the texture. I can't even make Jello correctly. My husband laughs because any time I made Jello for the kids it just turned out so very wrong.
I personally think that Cool Whip should be added to the list. |

Rep Power: 1 | I am one of those that cannot eat cilantro, it really tastes like soap to me, and the smell just turns me off. It took a while for me to figure out why some foods tasted like soap to me, but a couple of years ago I figured it out, many friends just thought I was picky. I recently found the Ihatecilantro.com website and felt vindicated! I mean even a little cilantro in a dish can ruin it for me, it is all that I can taste. Most in my family cannot eat it either. What is frustrating is that many restaurants seem to have a love affair for this stuff and it is showing up in many of their dishes!

Rep Power: 3 | No one here like okra except me. My Mom use to make a lime jello with applles and celery in it. I loved it. Tried it once a couple of years ago and no one would eat it. Go figure...

Rep Power: 2 | I love lime jello with cottage cheese, I like a good plate of liver and onions but the liver has to be cooked right, most people overcook liver to the extent that it taste like shoe leather. I am going to try the lime jello with the apples and celery. Love stewed tomatoes and okra. Fresh oysters in the half shell, yum yum little horseradish and saltine crackers nuttin better, there is one thing that is not on this list and it should be at the top IMHO and that is Coconut, yuck puke, gag, can not stand the taste or the smell, fresh or any other way.
