Not everybody can be expected to go ga-ga for grasshoppers or be passionate about pickled pig ears, so we explored three possibilities when compiling this list. First, these festivals must celebrate what might be objectively considered food so far out of the mainstream that they're unlikely to appeal to any but the most adventurous eaters. Then there are festivals that celebrate regional specialties, which seem bizarre to others. Finally, there are those festivals that focus so intently upon a specific food, however common, that they elevate them to the status of bizarre. Here are our favorites:

Some of those are not so odd and sounds kind of interesting. But, how do you cook a pizzle?? Made a couple of walking sticks out of them but eat one??
