The Louisiana Restaurant Association named John Besh 2008 Restaurateur of the Year Aug. 3 during its annual reception and awards banquet at the Marriott New Orleans.
The award is the most prestigious the LRA presents. Past recipients include Ruth Fertel, Charles Valluzzo, John Folse, Ralph Brennan, Emeril Lagasse and Susan Spicer.
Besh owns and operates three restaurants in New Orleans: August, Besh Steak and Lüke. He also owns La Provence in Lacombe with business partner Octavio Mantilla. MORE HERE |
