What's a typical family dinner? A typical meal is a two- or three-course meal that has vegetables and a protein involved, and the kids help me cook it. They love pasta and shellfish. You'll find me barbecuing in the middle of the winter - out there in a coat. Bradley likes to eat red snapper, so we go to the store together; he knows how to smell the fish and look for the clear eyes. Then we'll bring it home and prepare it, often using a Bobby Flay-type recipe: We'll cut it open and season it inside, and we grill it.
