Coca-Cola to Raise Prices on its Soda.
Coca-Cola has said just the other day, that it plans to raise the price of its sodas. That also will include Fanta and Sprite as well, which the co also makes.
No specified price range has been given as of yet.:nonono2:

I would think that the fuel to ship it and the fact that the price of corn has gone up as well (high fructose corn syrup) is the reason. They need to go back to real sugar!

That's something that seems to fluctuate greatly here. Sometimes I can get 2 liters 2 for 3 dollars (but we drink Pepsi) and then sometimes they are 4 for 5 dollars. And they are occasionally buy one get one free.

Our local Walmart matches prices, some one always has sodas on sale, the wife drinks diet Dr Pepper caffine free now, so when the run it 5 for 10 we always get a bunch and store. All we have to do is take an add with us.

I wonder how much changing the sweetener would change the taste? Remember New Coke? That's probably a bridge they don't want to jump from again.

Coke doesn't taste as cola-y as it use to. Still fountain Coca Cola is superior to anything you can buy in a can.
Must admit, the Coke in the bottle from Mexico still tastes better than anything produced here. Why is that?BerryBaby

I think that it is a slightly different formula(for Mexican Coke), and the fact that they use sugar as opposed to high fructose corn syrup, I think that sugar has a much cleaner taste than the corn syrup. I buy an occasional Mexican coke in a glass bottle at the Mexican bakery nearby. I'll be making a stop in Mexico next week, and will definitely be having a Coke!

You're right!!
Forgot about that. Yeah high fructose corn syrup is a cheaper way to sweeten things and is in just about EVERYTHING we eat, from BBQ sauce to ketcup to fuit-flavored yogurt. Sugar, they claim, is too high.
Everything in the stores were bought there by a fuel-powered vehicle. Wich means that since the price of fuel has supposedly gone up, so has store merchandise.
Sort of a ripple affect.

Haven't seen any changes in prices here... in fact, all the stores have been running specials on both Coke and Pepsi products. We can find the fridge packs of cans usually for $2.50 to $2.99.
