Who does the cooking in your house?

Who does the cooking in your house?

gen2gen Ellen Koven: We take turns.
Coming home to a delicious-smelling hot meal on the stove is pretty nice, especially after you've worked all day.
My husband and I take turns cooking dinner so that at least half the time we'll be the pampered one -- at least until it's time to clear the table. In the beginning of our marriage we had a sort of 50/50 arrangement, with most weekends off. But our work schedules became so different that a few years ago I volunteered to cook on Saturdays and Sundays (when we didn't go out) so I could get a pass on my busier work days. We split up the days when each of us would be responsible for feeding the family. We agreed that Friday is a "pickup" day. From the looks of area restaurants and pizza deliveries, the rest of the world thinks so, too.

I do all the cooking...but my husband does everything and anything to do with the grill. I am not grill savvy.

Me, myself and I. The only thing the DH does in the kitchen is make a mess when he's in there snacking.

One of the first things kids learn in the kitchen is now to use the microwave oven, since it takes very little time to warm up something quick!!

Daughter refuses to have one. I have one but use it seldom.
