Do you recall your first cooking experience? It was probably mixing up the meatballs with my mom when she was teaching me how to make sauce for the traditional Sunday dinner.

The first full dinner I ever made was for my parents 25 anniversary. I was 10 at the time. Smoked ham butt, potato salad and relishes (green onions, olives, radishes). I set the table for the two of them and I was quite proud of myself. Actually, it was very good and they said they loved it.

The first meal I remember fixing all by myself was a fried chicken dinner. My mom was in the hospital, so it was up to me to feed my dad, brother and myself. Can't remember the exact age, but I was somewhere around 8 to 10 years old.
