The Express-Times - Aug 28 9:29 PMIf you've got a surplus of fresh raspberries or blackberries or brambles on hand, it's a good time to make pies and freeze them unbaked. They'll keep for up to one year.

I freeze bags and bags of berries each summer and enjoy them throughout the winter/spring. The blueberries were the size of dimes this year and oh, so tasty!

I put them on cookie sheets to freeze them and then, after they are frozen, put them in zip-lock bags. This way the fruit doesn't stick together.

Also, I have been freezing peach slices. This is really easy as well. I slice the peaches, sprinkle them with that fruit preservative and freeze them. It is such a treat to have these in the middle of winter.
