I am okay with the word foodie. But I have seen many on the web who do not like that term. Sadly I fear there will soon be yet another word we will all pick up once this one is shunned.

    Let's see...what about foodaholic?

It seems 'aholic' gets added to food words like chocolaholic, chipaholic...it can be used with just about any word.

When you add aholic to the word at least with me I presume it has become an abusive or misused like to much of something, over indulgences of the subject. I wish the link was working they seemed to have move the article, what was it about and I guess you could say I am a foodie, that I watch cooking shows and eat, not at the same time though. But I also cook, so am I a double foodie ? I do not over eat so I do not believe I a food aholic.

Chocolaholic seems to be used quite often. It was just an idea. I kinda like it, but we all have our likes/dislikes...makes the world an interesting place.

I didn't see it as being an abusive word, just showing how much I enjoy creating great food. How about foodie-smootie,
    foodorama, foodalicous....just being silly.

You can come up with lots of different words that all mean about the same...we LOVE cooking and are FOODIES at heart!

OK, so your saying it, aholic, then means a great like for ? and not abusive ? I was coming from alcoholic which is one who has a great like for alcohol, to the point that is has become abusive. Just the different ways we look at the word. It matters not, as long as we understand.
