Giada Launches Everyday Gourmet Products
As a fan of Giada, I am not surprised that she has finally branded herself on some products. As a home chef and admitted skeptic, I am shocked that she has chosen these three products: olive oil, herbs, and balsamic vinegar. Honestly, I thought she would go the route of chef knives, salt bowls, or something more permanent.
But nevertheless, it has happened. Giada's face is now on three products as sold by Crate and Barrel: Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Sicilian Sea Salt and Tuscan Herb Mix.
Now that I've been rolling around in my head for a while, these products fit perfectly with Giada's theme of Everyday Italian.
To coincide with this product launch, of course, Giada appears on the cover of the latest Crate and Barrel issue.

As the article sort of says, Giada partnered with the Barilla pasta company and their cooking school in Parma Italy.
They have been selling their products for years and it looks like Giada has repackaged them in her own name.
There's nothing wrong with this, it happens all of the time.

They are cheaper directly from Barilla but the shipping costs make C&B a better buy.
Just what we need - more Olive Oil, Commercial Balsamic Vinegar and Sea Salt

All of these kind of products from the cookware to the grocery products, more often than not are purchased because someone is a fan. They make nice gifts for fans of what ever star has their name on the items. Some people enjoy receiving those kind of things. It's fun and it makes them happy. Same with any other type of collection. If they don't even know who the person is, or they don't like them they probably are going to buy a brand name instead.
But the food network star lines have been HUGE sellers. So much so the Network started it's own line with Kohls. So I guess she is just getting in on a little of that.

That's a terrible picture of Giada on Crate and Barrel cover. I didn't even think it for possible for her not to look good in a photo.

I don't know, I think she looks good. There have been better photos, and there have been worse. She looks happy.

Maybe it's because you can't see her hair. She has lovely hair. The photo is missing her crowning glory.

Could be but I think it shows off her face better. Maybe they wanted the food to stand out more.

I didn't know Crate and Barrel had food products. But I haven't been to a store very many times. Even then I didn't look much, they seem to carry more modern styles than I prefer. I like Pottery Barn though I get their catalog. All we have here is Pier One.
