For the Rome-born De Laurentiis, 37, cooking's a family tradition. Her filmmaker grandfather

King Kong) got his start selling spaghetti produced by his father.
You're expecting your first child in April. Girl? Boy? Or do you want to be surprised?
``No [laughs.] I've got enough surprises in my life. It's a girl.''
Does this make hosting Kidz Kitchen more special?
``Three years ago, when Lee Schrager asked me to do it, I was a little reluctant. I didn't have kids. They don't have a long attention span. I don't know if I can deliver. Lee said,
`You can do it, just try it.' We did.
