Giada Is No Better Than Rachael Ray

Giada Is No Better Than Rachael Ray
TODAY'S RELIABLE SOURCE brings us some depressing news: Italian cooking maven Giada De Laurentiis, considered the more refined, more competent, less perky version of that Food Network "yum-o" personality Rachael Ray, doesn't know much about Adams Morgan.
The Post's Amy Argetsinger and Roxanne Roberts listed De Laurentiis' slips on a recent episode of "Weekend Getaways":

All the shows are scripted, so blame the writers.

Might be the same person that did both.

I wonder if they write it out as "Spa ghettteeee" for Giada? :jok:

That is very annoying when she is speaking normal and then, all of sudden, says all the Italian words with an accent. What is with that?

It's like when Oprah is speaking normal and then turns around in an instant and sounds more ethnic. That one comedian does a routine on that and it is hilarious...why can't I think of her name. She does the "D" list thing?

I have seen them do that on Mad TV to make fun of Oprah, so it must bug a lot of people.
The over pronouncing Giada does is listed on a lot of pet peeve lists on the internet.

Wonder if they know this doesn't make them look or sound better, it is like nails on a chalkboard for me!

The snapping thing bugs me a little with the Simply Deliciouso. I guess they all have some quirks. But I guess everyone does.

I watched Giada talk about pancetta and 4 times she said it with a 'proper enunciated pronunciation' but the last time she said it normal like real people.

Maybe they do it so that the proper pronunciation actually gets used. Like 'locatelli' or 'provolone' or 'prosciutto' get butchered.
