I tried this recipe last year and didn't care for it at all.

Figured out that I'm not a fan of Bechamel Sauce. The Italian in me is strictly Red Tomato Sauce.

A while back I tried a lasagna recipe from Cook's that turned into a all-day affair. Made my bechamel sauce and ragu and it turned out okay... but nothing to make me go WOW and want to spend that much time in the kitchen again. I'm a "red sauce" person too and I've found that it's hard to beat the Pioneer Woman's lasagna. It's made from scratch, but oh is it so easy and oh so good! It's what good comfort food is all about.

Yes, me too. But Bechemel in a lasagna just didn't taste right to me. I need the real tomato!

I think it's the Bechemel not marrying well with the meats. Too me, I think a red sauce goes better with the beef that's usually used in lasagna. The white sauces are better with chicken and seafood.
