Guy Off the Hook is the most impressive Food Network cooking show to come out in the past several years. Nothing against those other shows (many of which are excellent), but host Guy Fieri has a style and a stage presence that reminds me of arguably the best cooking show star ever: Emeril Lagasse.
Guy, I love him like a fat woman loves cake (trust me I know what a fat woman loves). But guy is no where near Emeril. Maybe if he had an hour. But I think his recipes are too complicated to many ingredients. He always seems rushed. But as I give it some thought, do we want another Emerill.
I love Guy! Yes, his recipes are a bit more complicated. I made his Jager Schnitzel this week and the sauce took forever! It was excellent, but Emeril's recipes are less time-consuming and very delicious. I love his Carrot Soup recipe. Everyone should give that one a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
