Rep Power: 10 | Come on Jeffery! On today's Barefoot Contessa Jeffery set out to get a box of brownies for Ina to remind her of when SHE used to send HIM brownies while he was in college. Didn't he do anything special for her? Shouldn't he be reminding her of HIS little romantic treats? This one was hers. Worse yet. He goes to the florist and gets a ribbon for the box but no flowers.
Granted it's sweet of him to go to the effort with the brownies, but he needs his own gig. |

Rep Power: 10 | I'm pretty sure this was scripted. Whoever put this show together should have given it a bit more thought. I saw this episode and thought the same thing as you.
We will never see what their real life is like...wonder if they are as happy as the producers make them out to be.

Rep Power: 10 | Yeah, they shouldn't blow our little images we have that way. It ruins everything. |

Rep Power: 1 | That is pretty funny actually. I never thought about it in that way before. Sometimes that show makes Jeffrey look a little doofus-y. Like when he sets the bag of charcoal on fire...or when he can't pick the correct spinach. Obv he is smart if he is working at Yale as a Dean. |

Rep Power: 1 | Yes, I remember one show where she was talking about Jefferey wanting a yacht... they make good money, look at their house and their friends... and she just kept saying "I'll never let him own one" and at the end she apologized to him for not being able to get one but she said it like it would never happen anyways. Like "sorry but the answer is still no"
I'm a girl... i've been in the having-a-whipped-man position before, it was nice, I guess... but I totally think men need to stand up for themselves sometimes...
If he's working as a dean at Yale, he obviously has a pair... stick up for yourself man... if you want that yacht, buy it and go out on the lake without her if she wont go.
I'm not saying the show is not great... she has awesome recipes, and she makes me feel like I can do it, even without all the gourmet items I can never find at my neighborhood grocer...
I DO like the show other than the cheesy-scripted Jefferey-is-a-doofus bits. I think they just overdo it on that part. I just can't believe he's ok with it! |

Rep Power: 10 | I bet they already have a yacht. It just makes the show a bit more interesting if they somewhat bicker about something. We should all be so lucky to disagree about buying a yacht!

Rep Power: 1 | I thought the same thing during that episode. If he wants a boat he should just go out and buy a boat...her excuse was pretty lame...like she would be the one to swab the deck. Please. You can hire people to do that. Also, do they own a car that isn't a convertible? |
