I'm glad my questions were answered. I was beginning to think I was losing it. The kitchen was definitely different and when they showed the outside of the house, it was nothing like their old shots.

All I know is my kitchen is black and white and I've always been so jealous of hers.

I was very glad to hear that they didn't tear out her old kitchen. Although, if they did, I sure would have loved the scraps.

I really would like to see pictures of the rest of her barn though. I'm curious to see what it looks like.

I agree with BerryBaby as to Giada's ever revolving kitchen. Not that my kitchen is television worthy or anything, but I wouldn't want that inconvenience of moving out either. No way. Isn't her show filmed in LA? Surely they can find a set somewhere or build one. It's not as if there are tons of out of work crew members dying for a job or anything in the greater Los Angeles area.

I find it boring that she designed her new kitchen to look almost identical to her old kitchen. If you weren't looking close enough you would never know she was in her "barn".

I wonder if they wanted to make it look like the house so you wouldn't realize it was in the barn?

I think they film Paula's show at her own home (the new one on the water). I thought they also shot her original shows at her own home but found out later it was (I think) shot in New York. It must be awfully hard to have a film crew in your home for weeks on end filming all the new eps. Paula's poor dogs!

For Tyler's Ultimate, I read where Tyler didn't want to have to do his shows from his own kitchen so they recreated his kitchen at the set.

I always thought Giada filmed her shows from her own home for a few years till she changed kitchens and I found out that the FN rents out a house for her to use.

This week's episode will show Ina hosting a party for all the folks who worked on her barn project. I bet we'll get to see the whole barn.

Smile

Let's remeber that Julia Child did all of her latest shows in her own house, her own kitchen. By her own demands!

The Smithsonian has a replica of Julia's kitchen set up, I believe that many items were hers. It was interesting how the kitchen was built so that cameras could be set up in cabinets. The kitchen was really quite small.

I was fascinated!

I was so looking forward to seeing this ep but was disappointed that they didn't show much of the barn other than the kitchen and the party area where they all congregated. When they showed a shot of the barn from the outside, you could see Ina's house in the background and it honestly looked dwarfed next to the barn so it must be huge.

Maybe they'll give us viewers what we're asking for and in future eps will show more of it.
