Well, actually you saw Julia's
real kitchen!
When saw fully retired and moved from her home to an apartment (shortly before she died), she donated her kitchen to the Smithsonian.
They have the original pegboard that her husband Paul put up, to hold her kitchen tools.
You should see the kitchen in the James Beard house in NYC.

It's bigger than Julia's but not so much bigger.
And they invite award winning chefs to cook for large dinner parties (60 to 100 people) in that kitchen.
Actually, many of the commercial restaurant kitchens are incredibly small and put out 100's of meals a day.
