Please generate some news. Something we would enjoy hearing about. Now I am not saying go wild and have a Paula moment where everyone can't believe you did that. Or a Robert Irvine moment where we find out you aren't really the gal we love. Nothing horrible or sad. Just a nice little story about something you are doing these days. Something I can post here. How about starting a blog? Michael Chiarello has one, he could probably hook you up with a great webmaster. Heck I would host one for you if you would do one. We miss hearing about things there in the Hamptons. The news of your new kitchen has received so many hits on this site alone. So get out there and build something new, or grow some amazing vegetables. Have Martha Stewart over and get photos of the 2 of you ... I don't know ... painting your porch. Just give me something ... anything I can add to your forum. PLEASE.
I think her show is probably my all-time favorite on the FN. I've noticed over the years that she seems to keep a low profile of the goings-on in her life, other than her hubby and friends appearing on her show. Maybe she does it on purpose so she doesn't turn into another one of the star-generated, over-exposed personalities like Rachael and Paula.
I'm looking forward to the new season of BC. I feel as though her husband and friends are friends of mine as well, LOL. And I say, let's see a lot more of TJ.
Ina Rosenberg Garten is good people. She does not look or sound like anyone else on FN- thank God!! A total original, with a surprisingly smoky and sexy voice, a hearty laugh, an ability to make fine parties out of the damnedest situations, and display a truly genuine, affectionate, almost 40-year marriage in front of the world on television!! It amazes me that other message boards will post on this woman and have virtually nothing kind to say about her at all- probably because she does not look like Giada or Ingrid or Ellie- and at the age of 60, does not fit their demographic of 14-and-a-half. But not every chef need look like a model for the purpose of cooking on camera. I know I don't look like Danny Boome. (Hell, I don't look like Danny Partridge, LOL.) She's a real East coast dame, and she can throw down with the best of them.
She annoyed me at first with her nervous laugh, but has really grown on me. She cooks some upscale things without over complicating them, I really appreciate the simplicity of most of her dishes, and the fact that you would be proud to serve them to guests.
But don't get me started on her pecan bars with 9 sticks of butter!
