I like cookbooks but some are just too complicated. My mom finally wrote down all of her Chinese recipes and gave it to my sister, I thought I was going to get it
. Anyways, I took a look at it and it's too complicated for me. She didn't even include measurements and it's written in mandarin!

My sister can handle it. Her recipes don't have measurements either.

Sounds like some of the recipes that I got from the DH's grandmother. She was born in Germany in the late 1800's and she didn't use measurements, they were handed down from her mother so they're in German, plus she had very bad handwriting. I've got a few of them mastered, but there's one of her pies the DH is wanting me to make, but I think it's going to be a while because I'm still trying to figure out the writing.
