Last Friday evening, I was watching Stargate Atlantis which comes on at 10pm and all of a sudden I noticed someone and for the life of me couldn't figure out who it was for the longest while....then it hit me...it was Mark Dacascos from Iron Chef!!! What is he doing on Stargate Atlantis??? Does anyone know?

Rep Power: 10 | I guess it is people who have done some food critic roles before or are associated with food somehow enough for the network to ask them. Maybe some of them ask if they can do it.  | |

Rep Power: 2 | One of the notable people he's had a few times is the gal that played Nadine on Grace Under Fire, Julie White, she has no culinary experience and Andrew Firestone only has wine experience. What I meant was that since he's not just a Food Network show host, it makes sense that he gets actors and such. However, since she's staring in Cavemen now, I hope they don't have Julie on again. I can't believe she's sunk so low. | |

Rep Power: 10 | Yes, maybe he does have friends he either asks or ask him if they could judge on Iron Chef. I wonder if it bothers the chef's if it's not a food professional judging? They do have to feed the ordinary public if the own a restaurant though. So they have to please the average eater too.  | |

Rep Power: 0 | I think that they get celebs on the show more for the viewers than for anything else. If they were to only have professionals that people did not recognize lots of people might not watch as often...
BTW, what does everyone think of the new show? Personally, I love it and it has become my absolute favorite reality show now because they do not have all the back-stabbing stuff and it is just all about cooking and the competition....it's rather refreshing, I think! | |
