Episodes of the Week

The theme for our Episodes of the Week this week is "Bigger is Better."

We have added a couple of battles with larger than usual theme ingredients.

Iron Chef Collection

We plan to have our Episodes of the Week go up every Tuesday, so be sure to go check it out.

Do you think they will ever bring back the original series on the Food Network?

I would love to see them bring the original series back to Food Network, but I have a feeling they want the focus to stay Iron Chef America. They probably earn more for a series they produce themselves than one they got from Fuji TV. Not to mention the initial expense involved in dubbing the show. Because of that alone, we'll never see "new" episodes on FN.

The last regular episode was produced in Japan in late 1999. They had specials in 2000 (2), 2001 (1), and 2002 (1). Only one of the 2000 specials and the one from 2001 aired on Food Network. (And they probably only aired those because of Flay.)
I am not entirely sure of the Food Network broadcast history, but I think the last time the show was in regular rotation there was 2005 or 2006. (I don't count the 4:00 AM once-a-week showings of this past year as "regular rotation.") I know some of these episodes last aired on FN as long ago as 2005.
