Better late than never, I guess. We have part two of the Potato Battles this week, but with an added theme thrown in. This week's challengers are a mother and son team, the Kobayashi's.
Many fans remember the battle between Katsuyo Kobayashi and Iron Chef Chen. She even went over to Chen's side a couple of times during the cooking. (I think she was more annoying than charming, but that's just my opinion.) To the best of my knowledge, our site is the only place on the web to watch this battle.
We also have a related BKS video this week. We have a commercial for a Japanese cleaning product featuring Mrs. Kobayashi.
Sorry it took so long, but the good news is that next week's battles are just a few days away.
I love them all. The new potatoes I like roasted in the oven the best. I usually put some other veggies in there with them.
I bet this is an interesting Iron Chef show because it doesn't seem like a traditional ingredient for them. It's not something I would expect in the Original Iron Chef series.
