chef Battle Cheddar

Boy, would I have loved to have been a judge at Battle Cheddar last night! I don't think there was a dish prepared that I wouldn't have like - shrimp and grits, soft shell crab, pimento cheese burger. Loads of Southern favs by two Southern chefs. Wish they would put some of those recipes on the FN website.

I thought Alton actually had a southern accent and tried to lose it for TV?

He does, but the one he did on ICA Sunday night was not a natural one, it was more of a Hollywood one. He was just being Alton and goofing around. Kind of like the "Southern accent" he's used a couple times on Good Eats.
