Little outdoor grill - I got one, finally!

The bf bought me the Weber Go-Anywhere gas grill that I have been eyeing all summer. It was on clearance at Target - woo hoo!

Now, what to do with it - anyone have something small like this - what's it good for?

I can't seem to link any pictures to this post, so here's what I'm talking about:

Burgers maybe. Something that wouldn't need to cook so long that you use up the tank.

When I get paid again, I plan to get one of those adapter hoses and a real propane tank (the refillable kind.)

I wanted a small grill because I rent and I can't move around a large grill all the time.

We have a Weber Q propane grill that we carry in the RV. It's just the right size for the two of us and is just long enough for a rack of ribs if they're put on at a angle.

We got tired of buying the small bottles of propane so we got a adapter hose and a different regulator and hooked it up to the big propane tank in the RV. Now, I don't have to worry about running out when cooking something (like ribs) that take a long time.

Weber makes a good product and hope you enjoy yours!

What do you put your grill on? All I have is a Little Tykes plastic picnic bench. Someone said to put a piece of plywood and some aluminum foil on top of it. I'm kinda paranoid - I think I need a more heatproof stand - I know the Q has a stand you can buy but not the Go Anywhere.

We don't have the Q stand for the grill. We use a fold up table that we got at Camping World. It does have one of the hard impact molded plastic tops and we've had no problem with melting. But, the Q does have the molded plastic legs that does stay cool. Since yours has metal legs I think I would use something heatproof under it just to be on the safe side. You might want to look into getting one of those small metal folding tables that you can find at Camping World or the local KMart or WalMart.

This is the table we use...

I spit and polished our outdoor grill in May and have not used it once this year. It sits all covered and ready to use.

Just easier to do things on the grill inside for the two of us. Besides, I'm not much for the smokey
flavor of outside grilled food.

When I was little we had a little gas grill and once a summer we would go outside and make breakfast on it. Eggs and bacon, what a treat! It was almost the only time of the year we would make bacon for breakfast. My Dad would fire up the little grill, put a pan on there and cook the eggs and bacon. Mom would be in the house making toast (being the toast master, unless she had one of us do it) and someone would make orange juice from one of those concentrate cans. She'd make one or two sausage links in the microwave in the house for my brother because he never cared for bacon.

Then we'd all eat outside. Good times.

That is nice. We love going out on the screen porch for weekend breakfasts. So much fun.

We use our grill year round. I only use the grill pan inside when it either raining or too windy. Plus, in the summer, it helps to keep the house cooler.
