Rep Power: 1 | I'm sure some people washed their berries before using the bags. You're not supposed to wash berries PERIOD until you're ready to use them, which is probably something a lot of people don't know. Berry, if/when you try your bags with bananas, let me know how yours turned out. To me, that was the 'acid test'. Mine 'turned' well before their alloted time. I heard about a way to keep celery crisp. Wrap it tightly in aluminum foil. This actually works great and I'm able to keep my celery a lot longer than just putting it the crisper 'nekid' or in a perforated plastic bag.

Rep Power: 10 | It's been over a month and I must say, I'm quite impressed with the Green Bags.
For me, they worked beautifully and I will continue to use them. The trick is to follow the instructions and do not tie and twist them closed. I just folded them over and the vegetables stayed fresh for weeks. I'm a believer!

Rep Power: 10 | I notice sometimes when I buy celery in bags verses a loose bunch it seems to last longer. I wonder if some of the produce sellers are using something similar now?

Rep Power: 10 | A good way to keep celery, other than the Green Bag, is when you get it home, wash it, wrap it completely in paper towels and then in aluminum foil very tightly.
This was a RR tip and it does work to keep the celery crisp for weeks.

Rep Power: 10 | I see they now have special bags for cold cuts. May have to try those. The green bags have worked really well for me. Wonder if the lemons you purchased were older and ready to turn regardless of the bags. Just a thought.

Rep Power: 10 | You would think she would have marketed this to a company that distributes the bags used in the store produce section.

Rep Power: 10 | I buy full heads of all kinds of lettuce that are bagged in similar bags, which I believe are the same as Green Bags. The texture of the bags is the same and the lettuce stays fresh for a very long time. If they aren't hers, they are just as good at keeping produce fresher longer.
