Food Dehydrator?

Does anyone have a food dehydrator and use it? My Mom was thinking about getting one, but she's not sure how much she'd use it or how well it works. Any thoughts or insights?

We got one given to us, our niece had it, she never used it. We thought we would we had it 7 or 8 years have yet to use it. It is one of those things, when I get the time I will try it, never had the time nor the ambition to even try it. my

I think my brother has one. I will ask him on Facebook. I think you will be able to see his answer.

I commented that he must think they are worth having and he said ...

Well, for me yes...I make Jerky, and thats pricey. I have also made nanner chips, apple chips. Bought mushrooms in bulk, dried them and used over the winter in soups and such.
I have grown herbs and dried them. It take time, but yeah, I like mine.

Just get a fan, furnace filters and some bungee cords and do it the GE ways.
