Rep Power: 10 | Knives Amp Up Knives Amp Up By LAUREN LIPTON
November 2, 2007; Page W10
Long disdained by serious cooks, electric knives might seem dated. Market researcher NPD Group, which tracks the $187 million U.S. knife market, doesn't even keep statistics on the plug-in models.
But now there are signs that respect for this kitchen power tool is growing among home chefs. Emeril Lagasse recommends using electric knives for several recipes on FoodNetwork.com, including one for Seared Muscovy Duck Breast. And they have been featured on the PBS series "America's Test Kitchen." According to upscale kitchen retailers such as Williams-Sonoma and Sur La Table, an electric knife, with its two fast-moving stainless-steel blades, allows even amateur carvers to turn out thin, even slices with ease. Rep Power: 10 | I can't find electric knives around here. I thought they quit making them. I would like to have one. |

Rep Power: 10 | I love my electric knife, especially for turkey and beef roasts.

Rep Power: 3 | Hey we got one, and I'm pretty darn good with knives. Great too when you are putting up sweet corn. |

Rep Power: 10 | I'm sure Target and Kmart have them...I've even seen them at RiteAid and Walgreens. Maybe you could try one of those places. Would probably cost a lot less.

Rep Power: 10 | I will have to look again, they seem to be more popular again now than they were in recent years. This is the on that was in the catalog. I like the little holder for it. http://www.surlatable.com/product/cu...sc=true&page=1 |

Rep Power: 10 | It's a bit fancier than mine, but mine does a fine job, especially that Thanksgiving turkey, which, BTW, I ordered today.
Because it is only once a year, I spend a little more and get a free-range bird. I will never go back to pre-frozen. These are absolutely delicious and you can really taste the difference. I wasn't a believer until I tried it.

Rep Power: 10 | No, I've made them for the last 3 years and they are delicious 'as is'. I've heard brining them is great, but I doubt I will do it. Thanks for the thought, tho.
