$600.00...yikes! It's a beautiful machine, but if I want a fancy coffee, I want someone else to make it.

For me, it is a treat and not something I do everyday. In fact, I probably purchase one less than once a month!

The little handle there where you have to turn it for the coffee to come out just screams 3rd degree burns to me. Not just on this machine but all like it. I have seen some sell for upwards of 4,000.00 dollars.

I guess Starbucks is telling us it's all about selling the beans!

PS - the handle that you turn is to lock in the ground and tapped coffee.
The water is pressurized and dispensed by pressing a button on the top of the control panel (after the machine come up to pressure).
You'd have to put your hand under the coffee spout (between the lever and the cup) to get burned.
