Rep Power: 10 | I never keep my small appliances plugged in when I am not using them so that hasn't been an issue for me. When my kids were small I kept things out of their reach, however I didn't have this item when they were younger. They are old enough to know better now. My daughter uses this the most, she is 16. She loves being able to make sandwiches quickly herself. I have been very happy with mine so far. |

Rep Power: 0 | Exchanged it today. The old unit had a definate problem. It clicked while warming up which drove me nuts and the new one doesn't do it. It also turns on and off. I think I'll be liking this a whole lot more now. |

Rep Power: 1 | I was using mine to make pancakes tonight and dripped some batter on the temperature dial, so I grabbed the dish cloth to wipe it off, and the numbers indicating the temperature rubbed right off, I didn't even have to scrub, just the wet cloth took off the numbers.
This is a fairly minor problem because I know the dial well enough to know what it is set at, but this was just a dumb manufacturing flaw.

Rep Power: 1 | No, LOL!
It was a copycat recipe for IHOP's harvest grain and nut pancakes, they are sooooo good.

Rep Power: 0 | Would not recommend this item Had this item for about 2 months (in brushed silver) - shortly after the first few uses, the coating starting chipping away when only using plastic utensils on it - and now the plates will not stay hooked in. Completely unusable now. Loved it - but, now I'm very disappointed. Had the Bella one first and that one broke - but it did last longer than the Food Network one.
I used this appliance about 3-4 times a week - now I'm looking to just buy a grill pan with hand press. Very frustrating. |

Rep Power: 1 | Sorry to hear that. I have had mine for almost 8 months and the non stick coating is holding up well on all plates. I even run them through the dish washer.
Do you by any chance use electrosol dish washer detergent? My best friend was having horrible luck with non stick cookware peeling after just a few washings, come to find out it was the electorsol. When I bought a Wearever non-stick fry pan about 9 years ago it even said in the instructions not to use electrosol (this fry pan is still going strong to this day and I use metal utensils in it, since it said you could when I bought it).
