Brita Filter

Does anyone have any opinions on Brita water filters/pitchers? I bought a pitcher a couple months ago and I just put in a new filter tonight (its been unused since Thanksgiving when it got put away while cleaning). I still seem to prefer water from a jug, but maybe its all mental. But I'm trying to drink less pop so having the pitcher there full of water thats easy to get hopefully will get me drinking more water and less pop.

I used a Brita pitcher when I first moved into my home because the city water tasted so bad. It helped a lot with that. Then I got a new fridge with water and ice in the door and the pitcher just seemed to take up too much space. I usually just carry a mug of ice water around with me.

When we had our business the water from the tap in the office was horrible! We got a Brita and put it on the table. Everyone loved it.

Don't use one at home as the refrigerator has the water in the door feature. That uses a PUR water filter. Although, our tap water is excellent.

I have the refrigerator filter. My grandmother has one of the pitchers and she likes it.

I think brita is going to make refrigerator filters for major brand appliances as well soon.

We have one built into the refrigerator too, but it pours so slowly that a lot of time I take a can of pop instead of waiting.

I have the opposite problem. Mine comes out so fast with force that sometimes it splashes out of a small glass.

I have a PUR faucet mount, and love it. I live in a rental, but found the line to the ice maker and put an inline filter in that.

This is saving a ton of money over the cost of buying bottled water, and much less plastic to dispose of. My SO takes a Bubba Keg full of ice and water to work and it lasts all day.

I had to put one on my ice maker when we lived in Virginia. The water there had a sulfur taste. My filter on my fridge has the water for the ice filtered thru it too.

Mine does too. It's a Kenmore fridge with ice and water dispensers in the door.
