Sunbeam 5891 2-Pound Programmable Breadmaker

Although annoying as it is the price is actually about $5 less than it was when I bought it a couple days ago. Oh well.

I got the Betty Crocker's Best Bread Machine Cookbook: The Goodness of Homemade Bread the Easy Way too.

That seems like a good price. Looks like those who have bought it liked it.

I don't think I have any bread machine cookbooks.

I've made white bread once and whole wheat bread twice.

It didn't turn out quite right, the water I used was too cold. Next time I'll do better. But it was still good, my sister ended up using it to make her lunch for school.

Practice makes perfect. Bread is something you really have to master to get it right. Keep working at it, you will get it.

I think it would have been fine except for the water. And right after I had done it I knew I had messed it up, using water that was too cold. All I could picture was Alton's yeast puppets not making their 'burps'.

Yep you have to wake them up with your water about 100 to 110. I use a thermometer but I am a geek.
