Rep Power: 10 | Those are pretty! I like dishes that are just plain...no design on the dish so you can see the food presentation.

Rep Power: 10 | Me too, the ones I have now are plain white so I can decorate for each holiday and have it go with any special serving wear I have for that holiday.

Rep Power: 10 | Mine are plain white as well. I look at the beautiful colorful ones when I go to BB&B and think about it for a second. Then I think, "Nay, I like the white ones."
Daughter bought black ones years ago but didn't care for them as much as she thought she would. Think she went back to white as well.

Rep Power: 10 | I like ones in shapes. I know I'm weird. They're the sort of thing that its hard to convince yourself to buy, but you really want to. Like the fish ones I saw from Michael Chiarello. I think they're stunning, but you couldn't use them often.

Rep Power: 1 | I love dishes and pottery! I have a few sets of dinner plates for when I have family or company over for dinner but, just for myself, I love to buy single dishes and bowls (on sale at a huge discount) at the local pottery place nearby. That way I'm never bored with eating off the same plates every night. It's always an adventure, LOL! One thing you do have to be careful of when using colorful plates or patterns, though, is making sure the plate doesn't clash with the food you're serving and the colors are pleasing together.

Rep Power: 10 | That's exactly why I like white dishes the best.

Rep Power: 10 | Does anyone else think about their vegetable if they are serving another item? Like if I am having mac and cheese I wont serve corn because it's 2 yellows.

Rep Power: 10 | I've never thought about that, although now I probably will.
My brother once made fun of me at a restaurant for odering as my two sides french fried and mashed potatos. It never ocurred to me that they were two potato dishes. I just thought both sounded good.
