OH MY!!!! That IS pricey! $177.95 and the measuring spoons are "only" a hundred bucks less.

How on earth did you even find those online?

I saw something in a magazine about them being made by TinWoodsman so I looked it up.

Okay, those are just ridiculous especially since pewter has to have such special handling.

They are beautiful. I guess they would be an art piece if we were Paula and could afford it.
I wonder if they are accurately measured since they are hand made with the detail?

I'll stick with my Tupperware and plastic measuring spoons. We have been through a lot together...too much history to let them go.

Heh-heh, they don't have to be accurate. Have you ever seen how Paula measures flour? Instead of a knife with a flat edge, she levels it off with her hand. Sheesh! That's a pet peeve of mine. With baking, you're supposed to measure precisely. I'm sure there are a lot of viewers who aren't that well-versed on procedures and trust what the cook/chef does. These people are instructing viewers on how to cook. I don't know why she can't go the extra mile. Some people 'do what they see' and not bother to find out if it's correct or not. (Eh, I hate being so anal.)

I'll have to go to Made In Oregon next time I go to the mall and check them out. Everything they sell there is made here, in Oregon. It's a very interesting store and I do a lot of holiday shopping there for out-of-state relatives.

We still have some old aluminum ones of my Mother's. But my wife keeps several other sets. I never could figure out why until I started cooking....
