Rep Power: 10 | Thanks, Jeanne! I did buy those and it didn't help. I was SO hoping it would.
The odor was first like sewer gas and has since turned into this horrible, stagnant water smell...like the water from a flower vase that has sat too long. Disgusting!
I even tried the salt down the drain yesterday and that didn't work either. Right now, I have plugged both sides with the drain stoppers. Although, I'm thinking I should keep them open. Don't want the gas to explode!
It's very frustrating to have this immaculate, clean, kitchen and then have this odor. Errr....I get sick just going to get a drink of water!
Thanks, again for the suggestion.

Rep Power: 1 | How about salt and baking soda. add vinegar. let sit for 45 minutes then flush with boiling water? Not sure if that ws for stink or slow draining. saw it on BBC How Clean is Your House.
Good luck.

Thanks, again for the suggestion. | But did you try taking the gasket out and scrubbing it? You wouldn't believe what mine looked like. Blech! It's a spot that even using any type of cleaner or 'potion' and running it through can't get to, other than that foaming Disposer Care. But once it's clean, you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Rep Power: 10 | Well, the problem has gone away! Hurray!!!!! I've been running VERY hot water and dish soap through the disposal a number of times during the day. Maybe it melted the gunk off, I don't know. At least I can now stand by the sink and watch the little birds at the feeder in back within gagging! (LOL!)
Thanks, everyone, for all the suggestions!
