Imagine this: you’re held hostage in a mystery kitchen. Taped to the oven is a note saying, “Roast the turkey and then you’re free.”
On the granite countertop to the right of the oven, you see the pre-stuffed turkey ready to go in a tray and oven mitts lying there.
Thinking you’ll be free in no time, you place the dish in the oven and — gasp — there isn’t a bake button, or any button to be found.
There’s only a black screen with a digital clock staring blankly back at you.
With nowhere to run, you whack the screen out of frustration, and then suddenly the cooking gadget comes to life.
