I ordered the lodge cast iron wok from Amazon last night and got free shipping. It has a raised ring on the bottom but the inside is fully rounded. I think it will still be more stable using the inverted burner even though it does have the small foot on the bottom. I love seasoning cast iron.
Yes, I still need to build up the seasoning on my own. It came seasoned but it's the standard out of the box seasoning from Lodge, but once I get my own going, I am sure I will like it even more.
I've got a cast-iron one that I picked up on sale at Williams-Sonoma many moons ago. It's got a tempered glass lid and the sucker is heavy! Don't use it has much as I should.
