Rep Power: 10 | I have burnt up 6 hand mixers. I use them too much with heavy doughs and the hand mixer doesn't live up to the challenge. My husband decided it would be cheaper in the long run to just get a heavy duty mixer. |

Rep Power: 3 | It IS cheaper in the long run to have a more powerful heavy duty one.
That happened to me constantly in the past also, before I got my first K'Aid Stand Mixer in 'late '86 just before the holidays. All of the flimsily-made cheap units I had, their motors burnt out, the cheap plastic gears melted or broke or they just wouldn't come on!! And that was only from normal use!
When I bought the K'Aid stand mixer and took it home, I felt like a kid in a candy store!! It has stood up to every task it was assigned to. |

Only two small appliances on my counter top - the toaster (gets used everyday) and the KA mixer (no other place to put it plus I use it a lot). All the other small appliances, such as the processor, are stored in the closet under the stairs because I don't even have room for them in my kitchen cabinets. |

Rep Power: 10 | Once our remodeling is done I am going to move some of the things I have to a storage closet we are building and only keep what I use regularly in the kitchen. |

Rep Power: 2 | I have two, one kitchen aid which I use all the time, and Wolfgang bistro stand mixer, bought it first, with meat grinder, but it is so noisy that it is the one I keep in the butlers pantry.

Rep Power: 2 | You know I have yet to see him, not sure when he comes and goes, and I can not get him to answer the front door, in fact I do not remember as I ever met the gentleman.

Rep Power: 10 | Well what good is letting him keep a pantry in your house if he never uses it? |

Rep Power: 10 | Before I got my Oster mixer, I used a $10.00 hand mixer my mom gave me over 25 years ago.
She bought it as an 'extra' gift to have around and never needed it. It still works, but didn't come with any attachments like the dough hook or whisk. I'm keeping it as a backup, just in case.

Rep Power: 3 | I keep one of the stand mixers out. The other two are in the back room on a bakers' rack. |
