I use peanut oil. Since this is the South, were lots of things are fried, you can find the big containers at all the local markets. Price point is a lot better the bigger the container.

No turkey in mine, but have done shrimp, chicken, fish, hushpuppies and fries.

I guess it could be useful also for frying mounds of fried chicken.

The problem comes trying to use up all that leftover oil for other things before it has a chance to spoil!
