VeggieChop

VeggieChop

Just in time for preparing big end-of-summer salads, this is our Tool of the Month. This hand-powered cooks’ tool evenly and efficiently chops fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices without a cutting board. Simply pull the ring handle to set the razor-sharp, stainless-steel blades spinning inside. The number of pulls controls how fine the chop will be: from coarse to fine. The included booster arm positions smaller, lighter ingredients like fresh herbs for clean, even chopping. With the rotary blades removed and stored in their safety sheath, up to 3 3/4 cups of processed ingredients can be conveniently refrigerated in the durable plastic container. Most parts are dishwasher safe. 5 1/2" diam., 5 1/4" high.

These seems frightening to me, I can see me pulling a string and have the top pop off and blades go flying.

Really, how hard is it to chop veggies? This is another product that would just take up space in my kitchen.

Another culinary crap product that is supposed to do what the knife and the food processor already does..

Didn't the brain child who invented this gadget think of a way to lock the lid on? Or is this an accident and law suit just waiting to happen?:img108:

Have a food processor, but most of the time it just stays in the closet and I chop and diced with my chef's knife.

Even though I DO have chefs' knives, I like to use the Chinese cleaver for all chopping and slicing
jobs.

Yes, I also have a food processor (a BIG one) I keep it on on the table so that it can be used in an instant!

I use something my uncle's friend gave me. It's basically an old soup can with the top cut off and the cut edge sharpened. You can chop veggies quickly with that thing.
