Probably best to let it rest here. Susie does seem to be cool about Free Speech, yet I think this board is desired to stay on the topic of Food Network.

Well, hey, we always have the Clicker right! Hehe... But honestly I don't want to get into a Wal-Mart debate, because I feel the same way you do, and it's already been said a million times on the net. Fact is American consumers are ignorant idiots whom allow the degradation of food and goods to happen with no concern for their own health with the carcinogenic chemical laden poison called processed food, that many people feed to their own children, or the quality of anything, as a whole. Not all, but as a whole. Buy the cheapest there is all the time and see what happens. You get cheap. And as far as I am concerned, ignorant and non-selective consumers deserve exactly what they select. Natural selection.

Even if I had kids of my own, I wouldn't feed them that crap.

When my nieces and nephews came over, they always got a home-cooked meal made from scratch.

I pride myself on being able to make stuff like the crap that you see in stores today like Rice-A-Roni, Hamburger Helper, Banquet Frozen Fried Chicken, Tyson Roast Chicken and Swansen Frozen TV Dinners, but in a much more healthier low-fat low-sodium formula because I don't use all that salt or sodium and transfats like they do!

I KNOW what is in what I make! With them, you're taking a big chance.

Why is everything becoming a debate lately?

Can we just get back to having short, sweet, discussions like we use to?inkylove:

It never crossed my mind that this thread would end up that way.

Free speech means the government can't control your speech and I am not the government. I can control what goes on in my house. This is my internet home and when all of you signed up to live here too you checked a box to follow the Forum Rules. That's why there can be eviction notices if the house rules aren't followed, because everyone makes an agreement to follow them when they sign up.

This is a home for all of us, and I wish to have harmony in it. And good food!

Emeril's Emerilware is.
My Iron Chef knife is made in Japan.

Where did you see Emerilware? I know our Kohls just started to carry a lot of Bobby Flay dishes, but I didn't check to see where they were made. Now I am curious.

In Macy's and BB&B. Also Cooking.com. Emeril has his own website which also sells it (emerils.com).

I also have the 10-pc stainless steel set plus open stock pcs to make it a 30-pc set. On every box on it, it says; made in China. The word China appears under each pot & pan.

But I like it though, or else Id have returned it. I got most of mine from Chefs'.

Some of the open stock pcs are not for sale now, like the stainless steel 8-qt Stock Pot w/ Pasta Insert. Glad that I got it when I did though!!

If you get it though, DO NOT EVER let any of the cookware get screaming hot though!!!
The clad bottoms could melt and separate. Use only low to medium heat.

Of course, if you're boiling water in the pots, you can use high heat to get the water madly hot.:madass:
