Rep Power: 10 | Hmm, I haven't been there in a year or 2. I didn't notice it I guess if it wasn't inside the mall. The weird way they have getting into that place distracts me.
I need curtains. Maybe I will venture that way soon.
We are trying to wait till the sheet rock is done downstairs before we have the new furniture delivered but it's coming October 24th. I wanted to move this older funiture downstairs until we can get the downstairs furniture. But we are going to have to move it around to install the floor.
Did you see that there is a Direct Buy coming to the old Dondale furniture building near the dog track? |

Rep Power: 3 | If any of you plan to buy anything from there, pay cash.
Don't use your debit or credit card.
Since you won't be able to return the merchandise to the store anyway, on account all sales are final, and you must contact the manufacturer of the procduct if there's ever a problem, it may take that much longer to get the cost of the product removed from your card if you request a refund!
Longer than it normally would. An be extra careful, since the co is in bankruptcy, this seems like the perfect time for a hacker to get into their computer system and steal yours and everyone else's personal info. This will cause your bank to cancel your card and it will take over a month to get a new one!
It happened to me with TJX, owner of Marshels, TJ Max and others. Paying for the stuff in cash is probably the best way. It helps you to avoid big problems and headaches later!! |

Rep Power: 3 | Which makes it even MORE risky to buy something from there.
I remember a little over two years ago, Filene's had the same going-out-of-business sale. Remember them? I bought a ton of stuff from the downtown Boston store - kitchen gadgets and appliances, including a K'Aid Stand Mixer!
I knew that I was at risk for buying all these things, but thank God, nothing was a problem!! |

Rep Power: 3 | Yes, but still, your personal info gets stored and saved in their computers' hard drive and database once you've used it to buy something there. To be safe, you can do a withdraw from your bank's ATM and pay cash.
Or anything else. You do have an option to choose either debit or credit with it because I've done both. Just thought that I'd help as a friend.
But I just don't trust these bankrupt stores now. Especially after what happened with TJX! And they're not even in Chapter 11.
