Rep Power: 3 | I'm going to get ONE of them. Would like to have one, feel and relive the time when we were just kids learning how to cook! |

Rep Power: 10 | Yes, the wooden handle and then the paint would peel off! Remember that? I have an old potato masher with a wooden handle and the paint is peeling off. For some reason, I hold onto it.

Rep Power: 3 | Yep, sure do!
I think that mainly came from repeated washings and the fact that it might have sat in the sink's dish water for so long, hence also the slightly rusted beaters. Haha!!
My mom had one whose wooden handle was painted light green.
I remember back when we didn't even have a stand mixer. We DID have a hand-held one though. We had very few kitchen gadgets, just the bare-bones basic necessaties like a potato peeler, knives, egg beater, measuring cups and spoons, things of that nature. |

Even then, we ate many meals that were vegetables only. We didn't mind....fresh corn on the cob, leaf lettuce, tomatoes and fresh green beans from the garden. Life was good....and FRESH!!!

Rep Power: 3 | I'm from a big family as well.
We couldn't get seconds on anything until everyone has had a plate of food. Holidays were different because a ton of food was cooked and there was enough for EVERYONE to eat as much as we wanted.
