Ziplock has a vacuum sealer now.

The Ziploc® Brand Vacuum Freezer System includes a specially designed vacuum bag and a simple, battery-free, air removal pump. The Ziploc® Brand Vacuum Bags have a special one-way valve which allows air in the bag to be removed. It’s great for freezing steak, hamburger, chicken and more.

One would have to assume that it runs off regular household power, since there are no aggravating batteries to have to change or replace.

I wonder if it is rechargable. I just saw it in a commercial. Now I wonder if Reynolds will make theirs battery-free as well.

This one is a manual hand pump, not electric at all, I have seen it in stores.

Then it's somewhat like a device that was being offered on one of those paid programs years ago, called Pump N' Seal.

It allowed the use of ordinary zip-top bags that let you vacuum seal the bags air-tight. Came with a straw and a manul pump. Anyone remember that one?

Well, I'll stick with the FoodSaver.

At least, I'm not going to rush right out and get this gadget like I did with the Reynolds unit. I was bitten twice by that one, and I'm just not going to fall for this one at the drop of a dime!

I'll stick with my butcher paper. Works very well for me.

Looks simple and reliable.

Looks like it'll work, but I'm still skeptical.

I'll just stay with my freezer wrap, butcher's paper and squeezing the air out of the zipper bags. Been working fine for me and don't see any need to change. Have yet to have any freezer burn.

Yeah, to me, this sounds like another sugar coating scam.
