Cook for the Cure Kitchen Gadgets.
Has anyone notice now, that some stores are now selling Cook for the Cure kitchen gadgets?
Buying these products means that the consumer is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness - a portion or the money used to buy the products goes toward helping to fund breast cancer research. Part of the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Koman died of breast cancer, and since then, she has become a focal point in the effort to make women and some men aware that breast cancer is a very serious disease, and it can be life-threatening if it's not caught in time.
I haven't bought any pink gadgets so far because I have just about every gadget known to mankind so far!
But the other day while in BB&B, I saw a lot of the pink gadgets on display, such as small knives, veggie peelers, whips and other stuff.
I wonder if this is a permanent thing or if it's just a temporary thing.

The only cancer awareness product I have purchased are socks. They are very soft and have the symbol on the side. I wear them to exercise class as many women there are breast cancer survivors. We have many discussions about it. What amazing women they are!

Unless you want to look like a pimp. Haha!!
Nathaniel Abraham, the guy who shot and killed a young adult when he was only 11, now an adult, wore a pink and white pimp outfit when he was released from prison, prior to him violating his parole and being thrown back in jail.

We even have the pink frosted Lofthouse sugar cookies with the pink ribbon logo. This year seems to be a big year for breast cancer awareness and the Susan G Koman Foundation. Oprah kicked off the month with Christina Applegate and Susan Koman's sister. Lots of good information for women.
My grandmother had breast cancer at 80 years old, she survived after a mastectomy and is still healthy. When I asked her how she felt about the surgery, she said I'm not using them anyway and at least I'll only have one scraping my knee now
she is a crazy character!
