Titan slicer peeler commercial
Have you seen the Titan slicer peeler commercial? The one that converts into a tiny mandolin. I wonder if it really works like they say it does. That usually isn't the case for the TV commercial things.

I saw it yesterday. Not so sure about the mandolin thing.
Have to disagree with them on the vegetable peeler. They said they only peel one way. The one they are using should be capable of peeling back and forth.
I have one just like that and I can peel a carrot in no time flat going back and forth. It also makes thin strips so I don't see the need in buying the Titan. Just my opinion.BerryBaby

If it does what it says it does it would be fun to play with for a while.
The problem is it seems like none of the stuff on TV are made as well as they say they are.

From the ad that they put on the side of this page, it actually looks pretty robust, not cheapie plastic!
I have a really good peeler that I got from Rada Knife company, it is super sharp. Of course not as versatile as the titan peeler seems to be.

I've not seen the ad on TV yet, but I do see the ad in the sidebar here. Does look like it's all metal construction.
I need to get a new slicer/peeler (the one I have now was a cheapo and the blade keeps rusting) but think I'm going to get that one I posted about that's at WS.Most of all, cook from the heart, and you’ll never be lonely when the dinner bell rings! - Chef Robert Irvin

I am tempted to get one of these just to see how it does. And get the little garnish book. If they took Paypal I would. I am always afraid to buy from companies I don't know online.

That's why I always use a credit card instead of debit online, if things go wonkey they don't have access to my checking account!

Check to see if the co is legit and not some fly-by-night chiseler who's going to stiff you and run off never to be heard from again.
Elderly folks are especially vulnerable to this type of practice and scam because they don't always do their homework before buying.

Just ordered it
I hope it works. They have a sale going on right now. You get 2 of the peeler, 2 Julienne Blades, 2 slicing boards, and 2 garnishing books. I'm going to use one and give the other to my mother.
