Small enough for a cupboard.

Sometimes it is simpler to think small. The size of my kitchen necessitates a certain amount of nimbleness to achieve delicious results when cooking. Everything must be laid out and a plan of attack formulated. Not thinking ahead sets up a potential domino disaster if I forget to check something off the list. For example, if I forget to chop the celery, plates and knives will have to be scattered and cleared to backtrack a few steps. The potential for burning whatever is on the stove at the time is too great. It is better to embrace the quirkiness of small kitchen cooking and just plan ahead.

I saw a similar gadget like this advertised on an imfommercial several years back. It was a white and clear one at the time. I think Chef Tony demo'd it.
But I didn't know that Tuperware has one out. Went to the Amazon page. I like those nice big colorful red bowls they got there!!

Or you can take it outside during cookouts to chop or mince garlic or onions at the last minute.
Yes MiseEnPlace, a knife is at times refered to as a manual food processor, put simply, because it can do most jobs that the food processor can do.
I mainly use the food processor for quickness so that o can get out of the kitchen fast. Otherwise if and when time is on my side, the Chefs' Knife or the Chinese Cleaver will suffice. But I like using the Chinese Cleaver because of its wide blade.
A mandoline can also be thought of as a food processor, though it mainly handles whole fruits and veggies.

I like my regular food processor. There would be a lot of things this one couldn't do.

Even when I just try to use the mini bowl on mine, I still have to wash the other two larger ones because the use of that bowl needs the other two in place for the machine to operate, and small pieces of onion and garlic still find their way into the rims of the larger two.
But no problem. As long as I wash them before anything has the chance to harden. And if that happens, then right into the dishwasher they go.
