A good- quality, sharp knife.
A sharp knife is a safe knife, says Sheld on Wolfe, account manager at Fellers Fixtures, which sells kitchen and restaurant supplies.

Her list certainly doesn't match mine.
1. A good professional set of sharp knives.
2. A good cutting board, wooden, with separate ones for poultry and meat.
3. A well stocked assortment of spices.
4. A good set of pots and pans, including cast iron.
5. A good mixer or food processor, depending on your need.
this would be my list, to start with because sooner than you think you will have it anyways to meet your needs in the kitchen.

I think I have waited to long to add to my set of Wusthof Cordon Bleu Knives, seems they have been discontinued, anybody know where I could snag a fillet and boning knife or even if they made them in this line seems to be maybe not, because I do not find any, even on ebay.

It appears they didn't make one. Here's a PDF of the catalog for that line of knives, but there is no fillet/boning knife listed. http://www.wusthof.com/data/pdf/Wust...ordon-bleu.pdf
If you want to pick up an extra chef, paring or slicing knife this place has some good prices: Wusthof Le Cordon Bleu - Wusthof Knives, Wusthof Le Cordon Bleu Knives, Wusthof Le Cordon Bleu Cutlery, Wusthof LCB Knives, Wusthof Grand Prix2, Wusthof Le Cordon Blue Knives, Wusthof Knives Le Cordon BleuMost of all, cook from the heart, and you’ll never be lonely when the dinner bell rings! - Chef Robert Irvin

thanks
thanks for the web site and the list. I did find another web site with the 10" super slicer and the 4.5" paring knife, so if I am looking at everything correctly I have all they offered in the Cordon Bleu. Now I need a bag to carry them in, a wrap when I travel I can take them with me. like to a culinary school perhaps in the coming years. oh Kitchenware online at Cooking.com: Shop for small appliances, cookware, cutlery, bakeware, tableware, and more plus find recipes.
thats the place price was not to bad
