Cuisinart Smart Stick.......Nice

So I picked up this particular stick blender a little while back and used it once in making soup and it was just fine. But the other night I wanted to make a small batch of a wet pasilla chile rub for a pork chop (remember, I'm eating alone for a while).

The Smart Stick came with a mini food processor. I tossed in my garlic, cilantro, oil, chile powder and salt and fired that puppy up, and holy crap! It's excellent. Perfect for small batches of anything you need to do where breaking out the big food processor would be a pain.

If you need a stick blender, this is the one to get.

BTW, I did the pork chop on my new piastra (the old one had cracked) and it was a little dry, but the rub was excellent.

Yes, bringing out a big heavy food processor is a job in and of itself!

Which is why I leave mine out in the kitchen so that it's ready to use at a moment's notice.

I love my Cuisinart stick too! It's a older model that doesn't have the mini processor. The only thing... I wish it had a longer cord, for there is no elec. outlet at the end of the bar were my range is.

I have an old Cuisinart stick blender that now works sporatically. And it has only 2 speeds.

I've since replaced it with a K'Aid stick blender which I like very well! It has no dry chopping container, but it can be bought separately as optional equipment. Which I plan to get sometime soon.

My K'Aid food processor though, has a nini bowl with its own small chopping blade.

It DOES however, have a liquid beaker w/ a lid and a wire whip attachment that lets me whip egg whites or cream for toppings. And a variable speed control which I also like.

It's very nice.
