I need a new blender
It must be badass.
I'll spend as much as two fiddy.
It must handle small amounts and large amounts. Is there such a thing as a mini blender attachment like with my stick blender and its mini food processor?
Tonight I was trying to puree a single pepper and it wasn't enough to keep it all churning. Besides, the bearings in my current blender are on their death bed.
Suggestions?

I like my beehive. Even blends ice to fine very well. Amazon.com: Oster 4093 Classic Beehive Blender, Chrome: Kitchen & Dining

A little too expensive though.

Those who forget the pasta are condemned to reheat it.

I have a combo blender/food processor that uses the same base, but I don't like it. The processor is a PITA to get on or off if you're not holding your mouth right and the blender will only blend stuff just at the bottom, so you can't do large amounts.
I've been wanting to replace it with another multi-use machine (8 in 1) I've had my eye on at Chef's. It's a powerful machine, but pricey. Shop Magimix Cuisine Systeme 5150 at CHEFS.Most of all, cook from the heart, and you’ll never be lonely when the dinner bell rings! - Chef Robert Irvin

I have a Villaware, it came with two carafe, one glass, one stainless, has a hi /low and a pulse. Works good, got mine from HSN or QVC not sure which, but think if I had it to do over would look seriously at the Waring pro blenders. pricey $125 to $450 but if they are a 1/4 as good as the Belgium Waffle maker, they would be wonderful.

My blender is on its last legs as well, I like the beehive, maybe that will be next.
Waring seems to make some rock solid looking ones, especially the ones that I have seen in the restaurant supply store.
My partner's mother has one of those machines that is a mixer, but the head comes off and you can put a blender or food processor on it, I think that it is from the 1970's and I have used it as a blender and I have never used a better blender than that, it crushed a pitcher full of ice in no time and did so fairly quietly, my mission will be to find one that works as slick as that one.MAC

Oh how I wish that it was easy to get really good dependable products! It seems like it is really hard to find things that last.
I have a Kenmore canister vacuum that I bought 14 years ago, I have never had a moments issue with it, not even a belt replacement! I know people who go through a vacuum every 2 years or so, yeah I paid $400 for it but it is quality.
Just tonight I dropped the vacuum and broke the wheel off it!
Luckily it seems that Sears carries pretty much every replacement part that you could imagine for this vacuum. MAC

I bought a KitchenAid blender a couple of years ago. It's good for what I need it for.
